How to Join

Attend Our Worship Services and Bible Study
The first step in joining Mount Vernon is really simple - come to some of our worship services. You can also explore some of the adult, youth, and children’s Bible Study classes happening on Sundays and other days of the week as well.   Attending a Bible Study group before joining the church is a great opportunity to meet members in a small group setting.   In addition, participating in Sunday evening or Wednesday evening activities is another opportunity to meet members and get a better idea of what Mount Vernon is all about.

Connecting 101

Attend our Connecting 101 class. In this two hour class, typically taught on Sunday evenings by our Pastor, Dr. Greg Heisler, you will learn our core values, beliefs, leadership structure, and how to be involved in growing and serving at Mount Vernon. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions about the church.  Childcare is provided and dinner is served. For more information click here!

Membership Interview
Once you have attended Connecting 101, a membership interview will be scheduled with Pastor Greg or one of our staff members. In this interview you will get to share your testimony and ask any questions you may have about Mount Vernon.

Baptism
We are committed to believer's baptism. We believe that members of a local church are those that have given evidences of God's sovereign work in being born again and have been baptized upon their profession of faith and repentance towards Christ. If you have not been baptized as a believer, then baptism would be required to join Mount Vernon.  If you would like more information about baptism click here!

Church Vote
After completing Connecting 101 and a membership interview, you will be presented to the membership committee for membership.  Upon their approval, you will be notified and the church will be informed of your membership approval.
